Just phoned my dealer (Audi-Volkswagen of Naples) to check on the status of the order I placed towards the end of March. I was told that it's on the way over and I should expect a call within three weeks....woohoo!! Just in the nick of time too (my BMW Z3 lease expires July 1st).

Hope they don't use the mega sized cargo ship.
Mine should of came sometime 2 weeks ago, but the ship had to stop on the east coast before stopping in San Diego, which adds another week to the wait.
Now I just have to wait for the truck to reach my dealer.

At least they don't with BMW's. They have a Port-of-Entry near me and I see them just drive the cars right off the boat to the recieving center. If you're really interested in how an auto carrier makes a port of call, then check out this BMW owners site. He got acces to the same port near me when his car came in and photo-documented the entire process.

Just kidding. Naples, huh? Just picked up my late 2000 silver/onyx 1.8t QMSC from Crown in St Pete. Perhaps I'll see you around at some events.
Hope your delivery goes well. Any problems, delay the delivery until things are right. The only things that should change are the residual %, if a lease and the interest rate/money factor. Hope final negotiations go well.
Take it easy on the car at first, it will appreciate that: )

Judging from all the messages on this topic, it seems like the east coast is the place to be. Ordered mine March 18, delivery expected to dealer in Alexandria, VA, between June 15-20. ANYONE KNOW DIFFERENCE(S) IN APPEARENCE BETWEEN '00 AND '01 A4'S?
