...remember Wetterauer? That was THE chip for the 1.8T, pre-APR.
I think, ironically, the S4 (or more appropriately, the people who came to Audiworld *because* of the S4) really screwed everything up...the whole personality of the forums changed over the next 1-2 years after the B5 S4 came to the US. Just my opinion, however.

Way to wax nostalgic, old man.
Embrace the present and look forward to the future. Early days were good in a pioneer sort of way, but AW today is a truly valuable and established Audi resource with a vibrant community behind it. In many ways it is much better than it's ever been.
And never forget: you, too, were a n00b once.
