My airbag light stays on all the time. That can't be good . . .

So let me guess, I have to pay the dealer to find out what's wrong. I heard a harness for the airbags can cost like 400 bucks. Any suggestions?

Dont worry, with the light on they are disabled.

check under your seats, see if there's any disconected plugs.

98's have side airbags IN the seat, 99.5+ have them in the A piller.

My light is on all the time. Not a concern unless you crash. ;) >>>

I'm at 45k and still under warranty though. I have an appointment with the dealer to get it fixed and they didn't seem too concerned about the light. Just don't get in an accident. I'm going to check for disconnected plugs but I've also noticed that since the light came on the speedometer is off. Could they be related?
