Default my boost not holding past 10psi... changed the bpv and still cannot get full boost

i have an apr chip and it normally is around 17-18psi
it recently would only get up to around 10psi and make a fluttering sound when i let off the gas(i have intake so it usually makes the 'woosh' sound), so i thought it was the bpv and changed it.
still not getting full boost though, it will hit around 10psi and then suddenly drop down to around 5, then creep back up to 10 and drop down to 5....and so on....

is it still a bpv problem? or something else on the turbo?

Default Sounds like a big vacuum leak...

Start checking lines. Maybe the valve is in backwards.

Default Do you have a Vag-com?

May need to look for some codes. If you are boosting to 10psi that's stock range. If you boost only to 5 you're in limp mode. I'd still check all the lines and make sure they're all connected. Any strange sounds from under the hood?

Default Start at the normal spots

The 2 lines coming off the intake manifold. One is at the front and the one on the back goes directly to the fpr. Also check to see if your maf sensor is working correctly, because if its going bad it can keep you from making full boost. If the picture of the intake filter is yours in your picture page, you might want to set it so it is upright not laying on it's side.

BTW what are the outside temps when this happens?
