his intake, exhaust, chip, etc. i was wondering if our cars with the 2.8 sound similar? towards the end of its life cycle he fitted it with a supercharger and that just made one of the sickest cars i've ever been in. sound was incredible also. do our 2.8's with a SC sound mean as well?

an example: i've heard the new 350z and G35 which both have a 3.5L 6cyl. i think those sound very sporty with a nice deep growl to them. now on the flip side, i've heard numerous 3.1, 3.4, and 3.8L 6cyl GM cars with/without exhaust and those exhibit a very hollow sounding high pitched tone. sound like **** IMO. now this is just the first example that comes to mind, i'm sure there are many others.

Even a stock VR6 sounds amazing.
In my opinion, the 12v VR6 is one of the best sounding motors ever made.

for example, a pushrod SBC V8 has a good sound, but it sonds different than a late mustang w/ the 4.6 SOHC or DOHC, even though they are similarly sized engines. supercharging and the type of fuel used also make a big difference--think nitromethane--a more powerful combustion will produce a more powerful sound.
