Default my car shopping

I really like the a4. The look, the way it drives, the price is very reasonable as well. I am also looking at the honda accord, and my parents favor the honda over the audi because of 1) size and therefore safety (despite the safety features the audi has, they simply think bigger cars are safer), and 2) reliability... what do you guys think? do i have any arguments to bring up? thanks a lot

No comparison. One drive in the Audi and they'll be sold. Accords are lame.

Default Accords are everywhere! And there is no way an Accord...

can be compared to an Audi. Bring up some highway safety data for your folks to look at. Audi has more airbags too. And about reliability, Audi has warranty that they basically pay for all the repair. Again, about safety, quattro will save you, hehe. =)

Default Actually, if you look at NHTSA safety data, it's weight and center of gravity that's important, not

size (huh, size isn't important!). That said, the Accord is marginally heavier than the A4 (with a V6, a little lighter w/I4), but the A4 more than makes up for that in stability, handling, and build quality. A smaller car that is heavier will generally be more solidly built than a large car that is about the same weight. And safety tests bear this out. First, the A4 is just a better car to help you AVOID an accident. There is no comparison between the handling of the 2. Second, according to reports, the A4 does better in accidents. The A4 is a win-win, unless you are simply looking for a cra that can go 100K miles with virtually no maintenance.

Default The A4 is MUCH safer than the Accord. It weighs more too...

One look behind the door panels will show you.

Default I had a 96 Accord and I traded it in for an A4......

because the A4 is much safer with 6 airbags (the 2001 Accord only has 4 airbags MAX), harder metal structure and even a first aid kit included :>

BUT the reliability issue is true.....Accord is bone solid reliable and my 96 Accord had 120k miles with only a broken driver's side door motor and overreactive door lock.....THAT'S IT.

The A4, however, is MUCH more fun to drive. Enuf said.
