My car starts *shaking* at about 50mph... what the hell?

If not snow packed in the wheel I'd guess you lost a wheel weight or five

Default Go to the car wash and hose down the inside of the wheels and see if that fixes it.
Usually snow packed wheels is to blame, and usually at slower speeds it occurs. It may just be a little ice frozen to them.
