Audi had a string of bad oil filters for the A4 in 99. I had one. It has a low amount of pressure to the head and causes the hyd-lifters to loose pressure. This is heard as a ticking or knocking sound.. Take it in now.. Make them change the oil and the filter. If not then you can get ready for failure. If they refuse to try that, then Change the filter and oil yourself. I bet it goes away...

What kind of mobil 1 do u suggest?

Well it took about one week and the noise on start up is back & also the taping noise on accelerating. this noise stays there all the time on accerating from about 1500r p m on up. well it looks like a trip back to the dealer, and also a call to AOA.
