Default My first 2 days with 1.8T(not very long)

My first and foremost response
Schweeeeeet.
1. Steering handling and feel, superb. (Sport package worth it IMO)
2. The interior is just too cool!!!!
3. Tight as a drum.
4. My dealer was quite good to deal with. Relatively speaking of course.
5. Haven't taken it over 80, break in period and such, but I can't wait.
6. It just looks great. (Silver & Onyx Leaterette)
7. Is it just me or does Onyx actually look like a very (very) dark blue?
8. Avant came with cargo net, extra liner for trunk.
Only problem--Very minor--CD changer can't be controlled from the radio.
Oh and I had a first day ding SOB.
This car rocks!!!!
Hugh
1.8T Avant qms

CD Changer can't be controlled from Radio?!? Do you have an aftermarket add on changer?

No it was installed by the dealer. As work is purchasing the car it made more sense to have Audi do it than go aftermarket.

Default Unless I'm misunderstanding you, you should have the standard Audi 6 disc changer which is controlled by the head unit. (more)

I have the Bose stereo, but even in the base system I believe the CD changer is controlled the same way (if it is the standard Audi CD changer).
I'm going off memory here so forgive me if I'm a little off, but the arrow buttons on the upper left of the head unit (I believe they are the radio scan buttons) let you select which CD. Or alternatively, you can use the radio preset buttons (1-6) to select which CD. The two directional buttons on the upper right of the head unit (forward and reverse tape buttons) allow you to select the track on a CD. Of course, the mode button in the lower right of the head unit must be on to access the CD mode.
Now, if you had a CD changer other than the Audi one installed by the dealer, that seems a little weird to me. Why have a CD changer with a separate remote controller installed when you could have gotten the Audi changer from Clair Parts for a few hundred bucks?

Default I have the Audi 6 disk system. The mode button turns the CD player on. However, I can't change tracks or CD's.

Try the buttons I listed in my previous message. If they don't work, sounds like the CD Changer was installed improperly. Bring it to the attention of your dealer.
