Default use aluminum and get a decent rubber surround that can seal between engine and hood... for the most

part... oh and you might want to use cardboard so you can create a design and know where to cut.

Aluminum would not be a good material. Better to use something that doesn't conduct heat.

Default Check out "Cascade Hoodliner".......a heat insulating foam similar to Dynamat but better.........

I used it to improve the heatshielding of my Lltek intake, and it works very well. Check out my pic poster.

Default so you still have the air scoop installed from the stock setup?

im talkin about te piece that screws on to the font the funnels the air t the intake. I dont have that piece installed anymore. that would probably help.

Absolutely. That's critical. Feeds fresh air into the cone region.

Default is that a lltek strut bar?

if you have a 99.5, are your washer jets below the hood, if so does it hit the washer jets?
