Default Re: Very nice.....Now for some advise (((listen)))

So they are going to stop making them? I was thinking of trying to find one on E-Bay someday soon...I would hate to spend $289 for one wheel when I got all 4 plus tires for $700. But I know I need a back up.

Default Tire Rack will sometimes cut you a deal on extra's....

I have those wheels in 17's and they sold me 2 for the price of 1.

Attention: Moda R6's look sweet but they are soft. I would have a back-up set of wheels if I were you and only put those on in nice weather or to show off. Sooner or later you will bend them. Sorry to tell you that, but there's been numerous people selling odd sets of these wheels in 18 & 19".

And what's worse is that you can't get them repaired. You can but It will cost you the value of the wheel because there's always resurfacing work involved because it's a 2 step painted wheel that really can't be reproduced. And there's no lip on it to straiten it out if it's bent. I know, I tried. I just threw away a beautiful set of 17" Moda's that I couldn't give away after months of trying.

Basically buy the 5th wheel, don't get rid of your stock wheels, and be careful - very careful =)

.........become just plain stupid if they get bent so easily?

Default those specific wheels are prone to bending. keep in mind, my buddy had 18"s, not 19"s

and i don't consider 18"s big wheels. i have a set of 18" and a set of 19"s. however, they are both very strong wheels, and i have yet to bend a single one. wheel choice makes as much of a difference as wheel size.
