My oil cooler looks like it might be going. Clunked coolant residue around the hoses. Could this in
anyway effect heat? Im looking for any possible avenues other than replacing core

When I checked last and had it running I believe the inlet (right hose) was hot but the left wasnt
as hot. I flushed the best I could but my hose didnt give me enough pressure so I had to slowly fill the hose and then blow through the hose to force out the remaining water. I only did this from the left hose (outlet) blowing the water out of the right (inlet). Did what I could outside while it was 30 degrees praying it would work. I still think I have to bleed again though..

a response.....
Bleed system:
1) turn car on and the heater to "full/max" hot
*the fan only needs to be on 2 or 3 clicks
2) Loosen the coolant cap on the tank(make sure the coolant is still cold) and fill it up to the fill line.
3)Once the car gets up to temp you might need to rev it a few times(4k or so) or take it for a spin around the block. If the later, tighten the cap and keep a bootle of coolant on hand if the light flashes as the air bubble passes. Just pull over to some safe location and top up.
If you still are not getting heat in both hoses going into the core after this, then there is a more serious blockage and needs more attention. These cars are not terribly fun to bleed(like a 944 turbo).
