Default no, the IC can be custom added, but doesn't come with the kit

Here's what I'm cooking up. It's a bit of a G1, a bit homebrewed and a bit larger then a G1 , but that's how the IC would hook up

Nothing like a set of Valeo HID ecodes. Especially with that extra speed you've got now.

Default Prob a stupid question (2 some) but why hasnt someone just mounted a big centrifigual compressor on,

you would only need a breacket a big belt and an intercooler and a properly written chip, or aftermarket. Put it on a 2.7tt long block or rs4 long block (I heard the 2.8's were weaker) and do a 4-500 hp kit. If enough prople out there would buy in and furnish the motors I will do it!. With the properly built bottom end 6-800 crank wouldnt be out of the Question.

Just wondering, it is certainly possible, but I have heard from Germans the 30v 2.8 is too weak for over 400hp.

Default yeah weaker crank and no squirters. Back before PES had a kit, I had been trying to buy one from ZF

for my 12V, but they wouldn't sell me the unit itself. I'm sure there are ebay units available now, or other blower sources.

As for 6-800 crank, I dunno. I don't trust the crank design. 90 degree V6 suck in that way. Are there S4's running 800 crank? or at least reliably? Haven't checked.

Nice thing though is the 2.8 heads flow better than the 2.7. Just need to change the cam to reduce overlap (NA)

Default centrifigual compressors have a crappy power band, there is no low end torque

all the power is near the redline. Might be ok for a track car but would suck on the street. FWIW, with better pistons, lower compression and 4 bolt mains 400-500 hp from a 2.8 block is not out of the question.

Default It's a power adder, so it won't be as sucky as stock. This is what I was expecting my 12V to do

with the 6psi boost.

<img src="http://www.superchargersonline.com/downloads/dyno_results/vf_mk3vr6.jpg">

Unfortunately, they wouldn't sell me the unit back then even though I told them I was going to fabricate everything else.

Well, my base power was lower on the dyno (~127 iirc). But at least my experimental turbo kit running ~3psi already yielded me ~155 dyno.

Obviously if you drop compression, then it would be sucky on the street. But at that point, you'll be looking at a larger compressor anyway so any excess boost unmapped is bled, and you can have good low end power still. But the thought of how much belt force to drive even a 9psi blower on our 2.8 makes me cringe a bit. It would have to be a trailer queen for track days.
