Default I'm just saying, if you're gonna go thru the trouble of a custom setup

why not go with a positive displacement (twin-screw preferably) charger instead of a centrifugal one? You'll get much better lower end and a much more drivable car. Yes, the charger itself will be more expensive, but you'll be spending big $$ on tuning anyways, so in the long run it won't matter much.

no argument there. It's too bad that PES didn't engineer an air to water cooler for the G2

Its just like a turbo, size it right and you get power where you want it

Default Not picking, but it is just the opposite of what you slammed on Cent. blower.

Set amount of air injected at whatever rpm,

If you are spending that much use an rs4 block and have a billet crank made, its just money!

Default it's not just like a turbo becuase it's limited by the RPM, so it does't spool up at low RPM

like a turbo would. No spool up = no low end torque.

Default I think what A400 means is you size the pulley such that the CFM output of the blower exceeds the

engine requirement by a large amount (boost) at low RPM's. As the engine speeds increase, obviously so will the blower. At this time, the blower may either be overspinning againsts it's design, or it can tolerate the speeds and be ok. But obviously, it will be producing CFM's at a faster rate than the engine's linear CFM requirement needs so excess boost needs to be bled. Problem here is like a turbo, efficiency drops when the turbine is outside it's sweet spot. So even if boost is being bled, it's producing more hot air. But the plus side is a centrifugal one requires less torque to spool, and hence less engine power to operate compared to a twin scroll. So overspinning may yield higher hp better than a scroll. But can't beat the positive displacement and low end torque of a scroll.

On my friend's heavily modded type R (AutoX SM), he is running twin scrolls over 9 psi (over 300hp) Unfortunately he keeps breaking belts. In one autoX he had to go through 2 belts.

Default ^^ Bingo, + you can put it on a clutched pulley, and even run 2 sized for different levels, but very

very complicated to do so. So you could have 2 pulleys with clutches that clutch in and clutch out at roughly the same RPM. I like centrifugal because they are MUCH more effecient, and if I wanted power at low RPM,s I would buy a diesel. Thats what transmissions are for - keeping the thang on boil.

Default Call a company called Kenne Belle (sp?) who did a lot of stuff for ford, maybe even a 6?

I was never much on something that took up to 50% of the power at the crank to run it, but they might help or put you onto someone who can. I dont personally think that block is strong enough to take much.
