My RADAR detector doesnt turn off when I turn-off the ignition *more*
I just got a passport 8500 X50 and notice that it has to be manually turned off everytime I turn off the ignition.
Do you all have this same problem?
It be nice if it turned on and off w/ the ignition b/c I'd probably forget to turn it on when I need it the most.

It's not a "problem"...
the cig lighter supplies power all the time. If you want a switched power source (on only when the key is in the ON position), considering buying a hardwire kit, and wiring the power to the 75X terminal under the driver's knee bolster. Should take you about an hour to do as a first timer. It's relatively easy. Do a search...I've posted links or instructions many times for people.
