I was pulling in a parking lot and I heard a loud bang in the right rear...I look and don't see anything. Then in the morning when the sun is up I climb under and see that the PLASTIC bar that connects the rear sway bar to the suspension has boken and it appears that it has been rubbing on the drive shaft. The rubbing is most likely the cause of the failure. I removed the sway bar since it was rubbing on the rest of the suspension and now I am playing phone tag with the dealer to get it fixed.
Has anyone else had this happen or heard of this happening? Has anyone noticed this plastic bar rubbing on the drive shaft on the rear passanger side? You all might want to check, I had a dealer in TX tell me that it was normal the way it was attached.
Thanks for the info.

I have heard tell of that happening with lowered cars and some aftermarket swaybars. Since I have both (Audi/Eibach springs and the 19mm Neuspeed rear bar) I have imspected mine a couple times. Not rubbing. It certainly shouldnt be rubbing in a stock sport setup.
