Can you clearcoat them with Tremclad or Krylon or something? I'm a little nervous about oxidization

Can you clear anodize? I've only seen black and gold and ....um...purple...uh..nevermind.

Default Oxidation

If I remember correctly from high school chemistry, aluminum is used a lot because of oxidation... It forms a layer of aluminum oxide which actually protects the aluminum underneath, and looks like regular AL, not "rusty." Correct me if I'm wrong here.

True, but it looks dull and spotty. Not like shiny polished goodness. Either anodize or clearcoat
