Default my windows squeak when they go down....what's the deal?

my two front windows start to squeak half way down. the sound's comparable to nails on a chalkboard. it was doing this when the car was dirty but after i washed the car, it disappeared. it's been two weeks and my car has a light coat of dust/dirt and the it squeaks from time to time, not as bad but it's giving me a headache.

my car can't be trying to tell me something could it? the last thing i want to do is take off my door panals. anyone got a fix?

i think my car's alive =I

Just wash your windows. Anytime I get that squeak I wash em and it's gone...

Default My quick 10 minute conclusion....

i havn't noticed the weather but i'm gonna assume that you guys are right. when it's hot i'm more irratible and i can't recall that it's ever happened when it was cold.

what do i think of this? it's bs...it's a audi!!! honda's don't squeak, toyota's don't squeak, i havn't heard a vw squeak, bmw doesn't squeak...why does audi squeak? and why are we being told it's normal and that we just gotta live with it? seems to me that when u buy a audi it's like selling your soul. you get what you want, but u gotta live with alot more then u bargined for. (mediocre service at best, voided warrenties here and there, cloth that stains with water, control arms, and windows that SQUEAK!!!) ok i'm rambling and ranting... now =)

my solution...i'm gonna clean my windows and rain-x the hell outta it. my windows are alot smoother with it and that should help a little bit, i'm also gonna get some kinda brush and try to clean out the felt like omidius said.

i had no idea it was this common....i've owned my audi forever and i can't believe i just started to notice this....(maybe it's just a summer thing)
