I have a 96 A$ 2.8Q and have noticed a strange object inside my headlight housing, rolling around ...It looks like some sort of connection housing but I can't be sure. All of the lights (hi,low, fog) work fine but this is obviously not supposed to be there.
Is there a way to get into the housing to remove this or should I ignore it???
P.S. It is the passenger side front headlight.
Thanks,

It seems that the bulbs in the housing have a metal protective housing around them and the thing lying at the bottom of my headlight housing is one of them??? The bulbs all work but I don't want it rolling around...
Hoping someone can help!

I think you'd need to move some of the air-intake stuff out of the way to be able to reach the back of the headlight housing. I imagine that if you were to take the bulb out (using the proper procedure, of which I have no idea) and then use one of those mechanic's claws that fits through a tiny opening and then expands to grasp something, you might be able to get it out. Good luck...nothing sucks more than not knowing how to fix what looks like a simple problem.
