X-Post to some pics as well. 12 Audi's on a ride through the twisties of the North Georgia Mountains.
FYI, I brought along my wife and 2 boys (7&5) - - (first mistake). I thought it would be a good 'family outing'.
Here are some comments that were made by the occupants of my car...
(Note:none of these comments were made by me)
1) These people really don't seem like geeks.
2) That TT is flying!
3) As all 12 cars were leaving in a line..."If the President saw this he would, ummm, err..." (7 year old...then his mind drifted off to somwhere else)
4) Daddy, my belly hurts (5 year old)
5) Slow down!
6) Daddy - Floor It (7 year old)
7) Daddy, can you not go so fast through the turns
8) Daddy, I think I'm getting car sick (7 year old)
9) Slow Down!
10) Daddy when that needle gets to the 5 - shift. (7 year old)
11) I'm not feeling so good (wife)
In summary:
The 5 year old was the first to feel car sick.
A while later, the 7 year old felt car sick.
After a snack of Skittles and Cheeze-It's they felt much better.
But then my wife felt car sick.
After lunch, they all felt better.
After we got out of the mountain turns and were heading home, they all fell asleep.
That was the best part as I cruised home on 400 in silence.

Pics of N.GA Mountain drive (on S4 forum)

We ended up having a total of 14 cars at one time or another.
Monkeyboy, I didn't realize you weren't with the group until we stopped for lunch. I was told that we left you at the second stop. SORRY!

BTW - thanks for calling to checkup on us.
After the first stop, we stayed in the back (behind the TT who was going to take it slow because his wife yakked at the first stop) - Well, he still blew my doors off. And I had an older A4 (I think) behind me but wanting to go faster.
When we stopped at the gas station, me and my son went in for some food. He couldn't decide between the Fritos, Cheeze-Its, Doritos, Combos, Skittles, Cookies, or Kit Kat (difficult choices).
So by the time we came out, the last car had already left. There was no way on earth we could have caught up / kept up.
I accepted reality and we just took it easy the rest of the way. My wife said to go North at one intersection (should have really gone South) which put us further out of the way. So we stopped at some Mex place for lunch.
It was fun though (after I changed my mindset to just take a leisurely ride). Those roads kick a$$, I'd love to go back and ride them alone.
Thanks again for co-ordinating everything, you did a great job.
(I self-inflicted my wound by asking the family to come along...let this be a lesson to all others who think they can share their passion with their Significant Others!)
