Default N1 have their satalite radio antenna inside on the rear shelf and have tinted windows?

I'm looking at having sirius satalite radio installed on my car and would like to place the antenna inside on the rear shelf. I understand others have put their antenna in this location but I'm concerned that perhaps my having the rear window tinted on my car will hinder the reception. Any help/info is much appreciated, Brad

Default I ran into the same dilema

I ended up mounting the antenna in the front dash
I don't think it looks that bad, although I might move it to the side

Default did you try it on the rear shelf? If so, was it not even close to having acceptable reception?

I don't think I would mind a few drop outs every so often if I could put it back on the rear shelf.

I have the OEM rear sunshade. Do you guys think that would kill the reception?

Default put it on the trunk you will get the best reception

in the future announced at SEMA they will have new painted antennas' you can always upgrade later, but I'd highly suggest mounting it on the trunk.

Yep, Terk XM on the rear shelf with tinted windows--no problems.
