necessary to have correct programing for k04 upgrade???

i have an apr 1 bar chip in my car do actually need a chip specifically for the k04???

I ran mine fine for awhile with APR chip.

Why go k04 if your not going for k04 power? If you want any benefit in power you need a k04 chip.
