Default Need advice on brake rotors pls...best brands

I'm in the market for some new rotors up front. Can't afford a complete brake upgrade kit and would like to get some good rotors. I have a 98.5 1.8TQT that so far has had stock brakes, but with Mintexes all around for the last 45K miles.

Question: if I change the front rotors, do I have to get a new set of Mintexes as well or can I keep the ones that are on the car (they only have about 3K on them)? I've heard decent things about Zimmermans...what other brands are there out there? Many thanks.

Rob

Default I like my zimmermans, cost the same as OEM so might as well get them.

BTW they might be for sale soon, as I am shopping for bigger brakes.

regards,
Liam

Default Rob, I'd go with the following....

Do the A8 rotor upgrade. All you need are the TT caliper brackets, and the A8 rotors as well as pads (whenever you swap rotors, new pads are a good idea).

Default Sounds good but....

I have 16" Borbets on in the summer (no problem w/ fitment there) but revert to the stock 15" w/ Winter tires when the snow comes. Will fitment be a problem there?

won't work under 15s, ...but if you have time you could just swap back the stock calipers
