Need advice! My parents now want a 1998 A6 2.8qtip...
Sorry for being a little OT. So what do you guys think? They are very interested in a 2000 Lincoln LS V8 with 80,000km but then they saw a 1998 A6 2.8q with 74,000km and fell in love. So my question is what should they choose? I know the LS will cost less maintenance wise but how does it compare to the A6. Are there any known problems with the '98 A6's that I should look for? What would you guys choose?

BTW both the LS and A6 are about $30,000 CDN (that's $20,000 USD) is that a good price?

I would choose the LS
It has a bigger engine with more hp. If it were a 2.7t or 4.2, it would be a tougher choice. Also, IMHO the LS looks better. The A6 is still an excellent car, so your parents really can't go wrong with either choice. If the A6 is an Avant, that would make the decision even harder (I wish I had an Avant).

What's the budget?
I saw a 2.7T at dealer yesterday w/ less than 20k miles [convert that to km 
]around $38k.
But they gonna be driving the car anyways so performane shouldn't be a big issue. The 2.8Q is very neat too. I'm sure they'd be happy w/ the A6's luxury features.
