Default Need All the help i can get, this problem is bugging me. (long)

First off my car is a 98.5 a4 1.8t .Ok This has happened a few times the past couple of times i have taken my audi out. Everything starts out fine, but after a while i get a shudder when im driving, but i give it gas and it goes away. Well after the shudder occurs if i park it i let it idle, the idle bobbles anywhere from 1k - lowest 600, when it reaches 600 looks like its goign to stall because the lights dim. This also happened yesterday when going to my sister, however on the trip home it was fine. I cant figure out that the problem might be. Dad is brignign home a vag on moday to see if its is throwing codes, im goign to replace the plgus today along with the fuel filter and im goign to try unpluggign the battery see if any of this helps. Any input will be greatly appriciated! thanks guys!

souds like a coil pack, hook up vag and take a run. Look for any misfires.

Default Could be any number of things...best to VAG it

Check for codes and then use the peformance diagnostics functions to narrow down what is causing your drivability issues.

Default Generic OBDII codes are better than nothing, but not nearly as good as the real deal

Use the VAG locater and see if someone close by can come VAG your car.

Cheers,
