Default Ya, I had to go with OEM because an a/m one from Advance Auto Parts didn't work

although it was a direct fit according to their catalog.

I've used Purolator from Advance Auto parts and that fit fine. What's a/m?

Default aftermarket. But you know, in addition to a non-fit issue, pricing

was almost identical (sub-$20) anyway, so I didn't try too hard. Just returned it to Advance and got OEM. Don't think they gave me the wrong one as they double-checked and confirmed the P/N.

Default get it and you'll find out. =)

well...the fins on the filter itself are separated by rails. I can't really explain it.

let's just say that you can not bend the passat air filter like the A4 one from the factory.
