Need a chip for my new K04, what to do with my APR chip?

Default Need a chip for my new K04, what to do with my APR chip?
If I send my ECU off for a GIAC chip to be installed will they take out and send back my APR chip so I can sell it?

Default this is what i wold do....
find some one that will trade ECU's with you charge him 200 for the chip plus equal trade for the ECU. then get that bone stock ECU chipped by GIAC or some one you like.

you can get the APR chip back i think they charge not sure but call around. try AWE or Jeff @ velocity.

Can't you just send it back to APR and have em reprogram it?

I tried that, they said they don't have anything for the K04.

Default Are there any problems with swapping ECU's?
I thought the ECU stored information about your car in it. What will any non-DBW ecu from 97-98.5 work for my 98.5?
