Need a definitive answer on this...
Alright, so I have code P0422 so I am assuming that my stock cat is going out and I am unsure of what to do. I have read everywhere and people are saying that I will not get a CEL with a Labree HFC and appropriate non-foulers. My thing is I need to get the car inspected by the end of the month and it needs to pass a plug in emissions test in MA. Now, I thought with no CEL on and systems ready I should pass right? But I have been reading about people still getting a DTS code, but no CEL, will I still pass with this DTS? I just don't want to get one and then be stuck. Other option is a cat from ECS, are these cats decent? Ohh and I emailed Labree twice and they have not gotten back to me, I haven't had a chance to call as I am at work all day and can't really call. Ohh and the car is a 1.8t Quattro 2000
Thanks,
Bill

you will need
waynes angle block
since you have a 2000 1.8t...atw??
I have teh same car (assuming your '00 1.8 is atw) and the spark plug nonfoulers dont work. I have a test pipe with the angle block and i dont have any cel AND passed emissions...plus my **** spools up REAL quick

Alright, cool, that is good to hear, not sure if it is a ATW, I just got it and haven't taken off the cover yet. Hopefully I will get a chance to this weekend, did the 2000 generally come with ATW motors?
Thanks,
Bill
