Default Need help with car!

My car is a 2000 A4 1.8T quattro manual. Recently I have noticed that my car makes a few successive clicking noises when I release the clutch into second gear. It is very noticeable when I go uphill. It only seems to do it in second gear. It shifts fine, but the noise bothers me. If I release the clutch slowly, the noise is less noticable. I can only hear it with the windows down however.

Also, my car makes more clicks once I step on the gas hard when it is in gear completely. If I step on the gas softly, it will not do these clicks though. Any ideas what the problems are? I really need some advice!

Well nobody has answered the first time so it seemed like the post has been overlooked. Sorry

It is coming from the front, not sure exactly where though. It happens all the time when I drive. I can duplicate the noise any time I want to. The clicking noise while driving in gear depends how hard I press on the gas.

Default ignore him

he was just being an ***... sometimes posts do get overlooked and you have to repost, to avoid **** like what he said. in the title, put, repost from earlier: clicking noise during acceleration or something...

as for your problem, is the clicking coming from a specific side?

Default try and get a passenger to listen for it on their side. if you can elimintate it to a side

then it might be your cv joint, otherwise, it might be as junpeix555 said, and be your front mount (or one of the sides)

Default Lighten up man, I didnt see his first post.

And while I agree a mechanic needs to see Nikolai's Audi immediately, I never saw his first post. Re-posting is a good way for more people to help out. I know il be posting updates on my oil sludge issue on a regular basis instead of going back to the same old post.

Default does it matter wether your turning or going straight?

Does it matter what gear? Or is it just when you put your foot on the gas?
