Default Need Help: carbon fiber hood question

Hey guys

what is the difference between a 1999 A4 hood and a 1997 A4 hood? I have found a good dal on a 1999 A4 carbon fiber hood, but i have no idea if it will fit my 1997. Anyone able to help me out on this one?

windscreen washers are on the hood in 97-99 but 99.5-01.5 they are under the hood.

Default carbon hoods might come up under heavy wind from what I hear, so it is a safty thing.

CF hoods save wieght, hood pins save windscreens.

Default thx...

i imagine with the shroud from a newer car it should be direct fit kinda stuff. the washer nozzles have tubes leading up to them, they look like they can just be disconected and reconnected to the shroud sprayers. then so long as the hood doesn't have holes, it's all set.

Default I have the washers installed from my 99.5 hood to a FI hood. It was fairly easy.

I just cut the appropriate holes in the FI CF hood underside and snapped in the 99.5 washer nozzles. There was even a trace outline of the square hole on the FI hood .. from when they 'cast the tooling off a OEM hood I'd bet.
