Default Need help with engine problem...

If I had to guess I'd say a coil pack went out again, kinda feels like it did last time when they recalled them. OBD II scanner is telling me a misfire on cylinder 3.

Am I safe to assume its the coil pack or could it be something else?

And which cylinder is 3?

Any help appreciated... thanks guys!

Default Clear codes, swap #2 and #3 coil packs, then recheck code after CEL ...

illuminates. If code follows the swap, replace #2 coil pack. Cylinders are numbered consecutively from front #1 to rear #4, #3 is 3rd from front of engine.

Might also be bad spark plug or faulty fuel injector (which can also be swapped), among others.

Default worked like a charm...

swapped and 2 misfired... the bad coil pack looked bad too, almost orangesh at the base, not white like usual. maybe water got in somehow?

either way... thanks for the quick response!
