still blue/black on the 2001? I have located the wire but I believe that it is a different fuse from the one shown on the fuse panel diagram.

Default I did...

It has been a LONG time though. Which diagram are you talking about? The pictures included with the FAQ?

I followed the FAQ exactly and it works just like it was described. The only trouble I had with the fuse box was that it can be deceiving when your trying to line up the space number on the front and the wire coming out of the back. I almost cut the wrong wire=)

Good luck. Let me know if I totally missed your question. It's been a while, but I may be able to recall some stuff=)

Default Your problem is exactly what I am having. It looks to me like the wire I need (blue/black) is on

the wrong fuse.

Default Well I didn't really figure out a trick or anything....

I just stared at it for a long time till I was about 95% sure it was the correct one....remember, you can always reconnect the wires if you HAVE to.

I don't remember the colors of my wires, but I'm not so sure that is a good thing to go by anyway. When I was recently working on my headlamps I had to rewire for the citylights and I noticed that the colors of the wires were not the same for both sides. I don't know if Audi tries to "color code" their wires or not, maybe somebody else knows. Until you find out for certain that all the cars have the same color wires I wouldn't go by that.

Good luck and I'm sorry I'm not much help.

Yes, it is still blue and black. Figuring out the back from the front of the fuse box was a PITA!
