Default Need Help!!!!!Goofy Clutch Problem (Long)

I have driven many vehicles with manual transmissions in my lifetime, however I find my 01-A4 sport ANNOYING. Here are the problems.

1. Going from 1st to 2nd the car always jerks. It does this from 2nd to 3rd also. At times, I have gone from 1st to 3rd without that annoying jerking problem. The only way to avoide this problem seems to be to baby the clutch all the time, by taking it out real slow and deliberate. I cannot rip through the gears smothly

2. See, I also have a 87 BMW stick, and I can run the gears without any problems and to be honest, I enjoy ripping through the gears much better than my new baby.

3. Does anybody else have this annoying problem?

4. Can the dealer shorten or tighten the damn thing up?

I have the same problem on my '01 A4, but it only has 500 miles on it so I hope the problem will go away. What's your mileage? Tell me if the problem went away

No, the problem has not gone away and I'm pissed!!!!!!!!!!! The car has just over 2000 miles on it. See, the car is mainly for my wife so I only drive it on occasion. As I said, I have more fun driving my '87 325. I get in there and let it rip no problems, no jerking BS.

I don't know what to do. Also it seems when I tell people they think I'm crazy.
Have any suggestions?
