Default need help with readiness codes on an actron OBDII scanner..

i'm getting my car ready to go through emissions so I can finally reg it and all i've got is an actron obdII scanner.. it threw a code about the pre-cat o2 and i replaced that and now all is well there.. cleared everything and went out for a drive to generate readiness codes using the procedure on the 12th page of the linked .pdf below.. the actron scans "I/M Moniters" and i'm assuming the readiness codes are in there.. it lists catalyst moniter, o2 moniter, o2 heater moniter, etc.. they were all incomplete before i went out and when i came back from the drive they all said OK except for the "evap system moniter" which still says incomplete.. is that part of the readiness as well? and if so what can i do to speed along that test.. i was also thinking that maybe the scanner was just confused since all the other tests were completed. i'm working on getting vag-com, but until then this is all i've got. Default most states allow one or two 'not ready' conditions. I wouldn't worry about it unless

you're in California

Default You can't force the monitors without a VAG

And you could drive hundreds of miles and not get Evap to run. Find out in your state how many can be not run on your model year.

Default I've been coaching a coworker through getting a 99 A4 ready for safety and emissions testing.

he recently passed here in Utah with 2 not-ready readiness codes. I believe they were for EVAP and cat efficiency.
