BTW - I have Metal Mashers on my M3. They do dust, but they stop very well and hold up on the track (the one I go to anyway).

The part that squeals is the metal backplate vibrating in the caliper carrier (not the pad to disk). You have to use anti-squeal adhesive to glue the pad to the caliper (outside pad). Mintex (most anyway) now come with rubber backing on the backplates. This work so well that I put some on my Metal Master pads on the M3...squeal is all gone now.
BTW - I haven't found any yet, but I'll post if I find some high temp rubber material like the backing that comes on the Mintex pads. It works better (and easier) than any anti-squeal compound I've used.
