I have EBC Greens on mine front and rear. I don't track my car or anything, I'm probably just a pretty average driver, but they've held up for almost 100k miles now and are still going strong. Never had an issue with noise with them and brake dust isn't great but isn't terrible either. Very pleased.

No the lip you remove from the rotors is like a heat sink. Take it away and you have less contact with the atmosphere. Also when you turn a rotor you should remove a little off the face causing it to be thinner.

i'm with this guy. thousandths of an inch from either side. pretty sure there's not enough to make much difference
