is tearing up the rotor. In all likelihood, the rotor is toast (or at the very least needs to be resurfaced). You can get new rear rotors for about $60 pr from germanautoparts.com. I would just replace the rotors.

Rotors are about $60 a piece... and they're a maintenance item. Get new pads and new rotors, and you should be fine! Get yourself some low-dust (cough) Mintex pads while you're at it.
