Default Make some phone calls to independent shops.

Also do a search for "clearwater". Someone mentioned they had good prices on rebuilt heads. Honestly though...I would only go that option if you're planning to do the work yourself. If you plan to have a shop do the work, let them evaluate the damage and if necessary source the rebuilt head. You don't want a problem further down the line, only to hear the shop say "You found the head...and since we didn't supply the part, it's your problem".

Default don't remind me!

My girlfriend has a '99 Kia Sephia with 76,000 on the clock. Timing belt service is recommended at 60k, and since she never took it to a shop to do it, I told her to pay for the parts, I'd pay for the service manual and do it for her. Changing this weekend, so my fingers are crossed that the car makes it and everything goes well... heh.
