Default Reminds me of BugBBQ, he made an appt for his timing belt, and it broke just before.

Darn... 83k on my 97 12V, maybe this is a sign that I should go change mine ASAP

Hard to give relevant advice without knowing the damage that's been done. If you're very lucky, you've just got a couple of bent valves.

Default Careful buying engines online

One of my customers (and by extension me) got ripped off by a seemingly legit outfit online (EurAsian Auto Parts). There are apparently a LOT of these con artists around in the auto salvage arena.

I just got word from the cops that they're going to arrest the Eurasian guy and charge him with felony fraud. However, I suspect that I won't see my or my customer's money. It will be satisfying to see the guy go to jail though. Apparently, most people who get ripped off don't follow-up with the cops so most of this theft just goes unpunished.

Handy, yes . . . and interested in learning about the TB changing process. Unfortunately I've gotta coach two baseball games on saturday and one on sunday. Not sure how much time i'll have. When are you gonna do it?
