Default Yup. It's not a question of sensitivity anymore, though, but of filtering. (more)

My old Passport had great range, but was unusable off the highway because of its rabid falsing. The V1, while certainly far from perfect, is good enough that I can leave it on all the time, even in the city.

-vik
'99.5 1.8tqms (5 weeks away?)
'95 Valentine 1 (won't drive without it)
'93 Passport (languishing in a drawer somewhere)
'99 Porsche 911 (1/43 scale)

Default Re: Mostly agree with other posts, but........

Larry,
I also balked at the $250 to upgrade my V1 to the long-range X and K band of the new unit but I think in the long run it is worth it. I have had only a few encounters with the new unit but I have noticed the greater sensitivity. The new front panel is a plus because I had trouble distinguishing by sound alone the difference between K and Ka. Just my .02.

Default they are related...

it's the filtering that compromises the sensitivity, though V1 does about the best job of keeping sensitivity while rejecting extraneous signals.
