The dealer has nothing to do with the lease. Audi / VW Finance holds the title.

I thought I've heard good things about them on this forum.

Perhaps some stupid porter swaped/stole it. Perhaps some moron's job is to put plate frames on cars. Perhaps some moron manager-type told the porter to do it. In short one persons mistake does not make the whole dealership evil.

IMHO if this is your *only* problem with their service I'd consider yourself lucky, call them, ask for it back. Ask why they did it, ask if they always remove customer items from the car (nicely). Is it their policy? Do they understand that plate frames are not free, you paid money for that? Some can cost up to $20?

If they don't apolgise and/or threw it away. Then get a bit annoyed. Get something in return.

dealer frame on my car. The manager called me and said that it is not policy to put dealer plates on. I just wanted my frame back and he said he would mail it back. He even said that they would send someone to put the frame on for me. I just told them to mail the frame to me and I'll do it myself. I am just annoyed that this is the third time they have put a dealer frame on my car. Overall I am satisfied with the service. I just dont want to advertise for them. If someone asks me where I got the car I'll tell them I bought from Jack Daniels. There is no need to put a dealer frame on a car if you dont want it. Let alone take someones frame and replace it with something else.
