Neuspeed Shifter Concerns.....any advice?

Neuspeed Shifter Concerns.....any advice?
Well, I purchased a Neuspeed Short Throw Shifter for my 97 A4 1.8T from Greedspeed. Well, I remembering seeing, and correct me if I am wrong, but the shift rod was a high gloss black finish with Neuspeed written down the side. When I received mine, it is not painted, rather just silver, which ironically looks just like my stock shifter. Now, I just want to see if Neuspeed produces our models that way now, or something is wrong. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

The shift rod I had didn't say Neuspeed on the side.
I received an entire assemblyy which made the install a lot easier than the non-pushdown folks. I bought mine last year on a group buy.

mine was black..but it felt NOTHING like stock
stock is plastic and felt really chincy, where as the neuspeed felt solid. yes mine did say neuspeed on it, but if yours is metal and feels good, try putting it in and see how it feels.
