I had 711's on both my car and teh wifey's Cooper S..... they are meh tires. More--->
For the $$ they are a decent tire I guess. They are quiet for a while but get noisy as they wear... not a big deal on that end I guess. They wear fast for sure, but are pretty sticky. Wet grip is so so. All in all I would not recommend them, for not much more $$ you can get several better tires.

Kuhmo ASX (a little soft on the sidewall), BFG TA's, Fusion (sp?) Z rated's....
I have no exp. with the Fusion ones but have heard good things?
The BFG's are quite nice really, and for the $$ are hard to beat IMHO.
