My car has 950mi on it, i got it brand new and have been driving it pretty softly.
But I heard that once it hits 1000mi I should really push it a lot in order to break in the turbo and everything else properly. Is that true? Sorry for the stupid question. I new to having a new car.

i dont know how you made it 950 miles all driving softly, i already revved out to 5000rpm once and i had to restrain myself.
its definitley a good idea to kep it calm for a 1000 miles, but i wouldnt say go all out andpush it a lot...after a grand just drive how you normally would, if you feel the need, push it.
my friend and i celebrated his break in in his S4 last night, he crossed 1000 miles, and we did a nice fast break in run... so smooth and quick, you dont even feel the speed.

after that you can basically push it if you want. i put mine to the edge of 110mph on the freeway and it was smooth as silk. unlike my 95 camry V6 which starts to rattle a little above 100mph. and it gets pretty lose too unlike the A4.
