<center><img src="http://gulfrealtyinc.com/images/Audi_Satellite.jpg"></center><p>got SIRIUS satellite installed yesterday. However, when i came to pick up my car the dumb f*ck put my reciever on my trunk! They call it a roof-mount antenna for a reason...

Anyhow, I don't think it looks right; and they're going to charge me an extra $100 to run it up to my roof, if I want. Can the receiver be put in the back interior dash? Or maybe on the window... Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated

at least you won't see the wire. I have a big glass mount rear window antenna that is real-ugly.

Mounted mine just beyond the curve closest to the rear window so it is on a flat surface. Its about 1 inch from the front of the trunk lid and works fine. They just recommend atleast 3 sqft of metal surface area.

It will not work in the rear deck, under the hood or under the trunk lid. I tested all of these. Definately needs to be outside the vehicle.

Personally prefer mine mounted on the trunk so I can easily put it inside the trunk when parking someplace shady. Worried that someone will just rip it off as it is only magnet mounted.

Works *fine* for me in the rear deck, I dunno what you are talking about.

I had 1 bar sat service in the rear deck, vs 5 on the rear trunk. perhaps the rural area i live in.
