New to Audis, how is A4 high mileage reliability?

Default New to Audis, how is A4 high mileage reliability?
Im deciding between getting a 95 M3 with 150k miles on it and an a4 but prolly one with at least 50k miles on it. I really like the M3 but obviously with that many miles on it im scared of high repair costs. How well do the 1.8t engines hold up under normal useage for this many miles? Whats the highest mileage these engines can go without having major (costly) problems? Are repair costs comparable to BMWs?

i just hit 101000 and there are some others well into 100k

122,000 miles and running better than when it was new; no reliability problems.
