I just had a service today, and got new front brakes and rotors. To me, it feels like my brakes are not as strong as they used to be. Is this possibly just a break-in issue (like the pads aren't yet flush with the rotors and need to wear a bit first?), or could this be a bad installation? I don't like driving around with potentially bad brakes... Anyone know about this? Thanks!

Your first hypothesis supports what I have seen...they take a bit to seat properly and grab. Did you replace them with OEM stock stuff? I have now tried the following combinations:
For the A4 I once had....
1) Stock A4 Rotors and Stock Brake Pads
2) Stock A4 Rotors and Rofren Brake Pads
3) Brembo Cross-drilled A4 Rotors and Rofren Brake Pads
4) Brembo Cross-drilled A4 Rotors and Stock Pads
5) Zimmerman Cross-drilled A4 Rotors and Stock Pads
For the S4 I now have....
1) Stock S4 Rotors and Stock Brake Pads
2) Stock S4 Rotors and Porterfield 4S (Race) Brake Pads
3) Tarox Slotted S4 Rotors and Porterfield 4S (Race) Brake Pads
Next on the list:
1) Tarox Slotted S4 Rotors with Stock Brake Pads
2) Cryogenically treated and slotted S4 Rotors with Hawk Brake Pads
Yes, I am tired of changing all this stuff.... I feel qualified to comment on
your rotor/pad issue. Don't you agree?<p><a href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=3821"><br><br>
