Hi! I have to change my cd changer bc its broken. I can't decide if I should get the Panasonic changer and leave everything stock or if I should buy a new head unit? I don't want anything to look tacky and some of the head units do not nearly match the color of the car dash. I want it to look like an Audi if I change the head unit. Also I would lose the RDS function. Would my BOSE system amp work or would that be useless after a new head unit. The reason I may want a head unit instead is bc of MP3 capability which would eliminate the need for many cds and bc of the amount of watts to speakers. Is there a noticeable change in the quality of sound with a new head unit compared to the Concert one I have now? Please respond back with what is the best choice. PLEASE INCLUDE PICS OF YOUR CAR IF YOU HAVE A AFTERMARKET HEAD UNIT OR SYSTEM. Please list the advantages and disadvantages for a new head unit or new cd changer. Thanks!

IMHO, any head unit at all will faithfully reproduce the signal from the CD. The only thing that affects sound quality is power and speakers. The differences in head units are features like wizz-bang equalizers etc. The usability of the Bose amp will depend on the availability of schematics and/or adaptor cables. You most likely can make it work, but it may not be worth the effort.
