I have a 96 2.8QM, which I bought used with 31k miles. It now has 45k, and at a stoplight tonight, when it turned green, I tried to start going(not racing or anything), it started moving a little bit (got to about 5mph) but then the rpm's just went up like the clutch was still pushed in, but my foot was all the way off it at that point. I pushed the clutch back in, but it felt rough. The car went after I pushed the clutch back in again, but now it feels REALLY light. Do I need a new clutch? What do you think I am looking at pricewise? Thanks in advance.

is almost as much as when replacing the clutch, as they still have to remove everything to get to the slave cylinder. If you are going this far, it is usually a good idea to go ahead and spend the extra $$ to replace the whole thing. The labor is the worst part anyway.
