Default New Dieselgeek "Panzer" Skid Plate for B5

Hey Y'all,

I'd like to introduce myself as a new AudiWorld vendor. My name is Jim Royston of dieselgeek.com and I wanted to briefly announce the arrival of my new B5 Panzer Plate heavy-duty aluminum skid plate for the 1996-2001 B5 Audi A4. The B5 Panzer skid plate follows on the absolutely huge success of my VW MKIV Panzer Plate kit that I have been selling to VW drivers for about a year now.

As you already know, the B5's are pretty vulnerable to damage from road debris, speed bumps and steep driveways. The B5 Panzer puts a stout 1/8th inch of aluminum between you and the road, keeping your undersides protected and clean. The panzer fits all A4's and S4's, regardless of engine or transmission (fits all B5/5.5 Passats, too). The mounting of the plate is also heavy duty while maintaining ease of removal and reinstallation. No plastic fasteners are used and the side pieces that attach to the fender well liners remain in place when the plate is removed for service. This makes reinstallation even easier than with the stock flimsy belly pans the cars were originally equipped with. There is even an included spoiler attachment screw set with online instructions to keep your front spoiler from getting ripped off from driving over parking curbs.

The plates are factory made for perfect fit and are for sale now over at my site for what I believe to be a reasonable price. The online install manual is posted online there as well for you to look over. While you are there you might also take a look at our own custom designed B5 short shifters and popular all-inclusive timing belt kits for all 1.8T cars.

I think you will find our skid plate to be a great product to save you money, hassle, and time since your car will be forever protected!

I am here to answer any questions you might have so lemme know...

Thanks for your time!

Jim

Default he he, nice come back.

From what I hear, the oil pan is very exposed on these cars. I haven't had a problem with it in the 6 or so years that I've owned a b5. Though the fact that wifey drives the car and drives on worse roads that I do, I'm sure it would be a time and money saving investment. The bling factor is also considered. But still, ouch at my current budget. Try a group buy in the spring or summer and see how that turns out. People might have more flow then

You should extend it a little further back in the middle, to ward off the rabbits

Default Thumbs up for DG... I had one of his aluminum skidplates on my GTI...

...And it was pretty impressive. Did the job well and protected my VR6 pan as long as I owned the car.
